Hello Alex ,

I'm am very happy to try your knock board . I will have some questions in the futur .

My first question is how you listen to the engine knock to setup the board parameters .( What do you use )

Nice to hear you at our forum!
Are there not specific engine list at knock board software. You can create it!
Only, some values you need know. Such as bore size for determinate frequency for oem knock sensor and I/p lead at autronic software for synchronization rpm real and knock board.
You can see formula for find frequency at online mode.
You must see I/p lead a s aitronic software sm4 and angle offset at smc(sm2)

My question is more related if you use headphone to listen to knock for fine tune the specs you have to enter in the software .

When you actually listen at the knock you know if it's light , strong knock or if it's other engine sound

yes,,,the first you must determinate limit noise by hear or headphone correspond the start or process of detonation and set approximate level at knock software around 60%. The next, you must find only start pinging at engine and tune correct level at % at software. As a usually is 55-60%. You can use gain for correct level of signal from knock processor. So that, level below 55-70% will be safety, then above 60% you can make correction ign, fuel, boost, you can stop engine and critical level more 80-90%...Any variants. It's very good working at sm4. After then you will not need headphone and listen hear,,,but, you must always be careful and more attentive for tune engine on pike and detonation process.
I'll be recommend use knock correction for control and safety correction after full tune engine.
Also, you can use knock light at board for visual level of knocking at process.

p/s When you actually listen at the knock you know if it's light , strong knock or if it's other engine sound
only practically experience feeling really! You must listen engine and you must exactly check start of pinging, start slightly now that knocking process at start...it's easy, really. After, you will need not any listen this,,,level of % at analog input will show its.

I'll shall try make video and manual step by step for tune knock board at soon.

control one of cyl is so little effect for lose power engine at retard process..
then more cyl then little effect. I was checked it for autronic knock processor for subaru and evo. For safety, I prefer use group retard..engine lose power immediately ! But, more advanced retard give more EGT...it's dangerous a long time!
